What’s Included:

  • 8 Days

  • 3 delicious meals per day prepared by the project's kitchen team

  • Accommodations in comfortable shared dorms, each with a private bathroom

  • Pick-up and drop-off from/to the Puerto Viejo bus station

Trip Activities:

  • Cooking workshop where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Costa Rican dishes and taste a variety of fresh, local fruits

  • Recycling workshop to learn sustainable practices & upcycling

  • Bribri Chocolate & Waterfall tour

  • Jaguar Rescue Center tour to meet rescued animals & learn conservation stories

  • Kayaking in Punta Uva

  • Hiking & snorkeling tour in Cahuita National Park with a naturalist guide

  • Visit to the ARA Project to discover conservation efforts focused on the endangered Great Green Macaw and Scarlet Macaw

  • City tour of Puerto Viejo to discover local charm and get to know the community

  • Yoga class on an open-air deck

  • Latin dance lesson

  • This experience could not have gone better! I absolutely loved my time at the organization. The staff and other volunteers were so incredibly kind, the facilities were kept clean and are spacious, the food was tasty (and portion sizes huge!), and the activities were well organized and fun. I could go on and on! It was the perfect girls trip, better than I even imagined.

  • Was an amazing experience! Had so much fun, the food was great, and the hosts really made sure we got the most out of our experience. Milo, pipa, munchies, and (penny? I forget her name) were the sweetest dogs and chamani was such a sweet cat. I didn't know much Spanish, but everyone was so nice and encouraging I really learned a lot. Being so surrounded in nature and learning ways to protect it truly was life changing!
